WHO IS THIS JESUS?

That's the question isn't it? To really know the truth about Him, and what does that have to do with me? All I can do, my friend, is tell you what I believe, and for the skeptical I will attempt to give some scientific facts and, what I consider, good reasons to logically come to these conclusions. I offer these things as one beggar telling another where to find bread. It took me a long time and a lot of searching to finally find the road to Truth. I am still on that road, but I have found these things and they are settled in my being.

First there is one God, all powerful, who created the universe and everything (including us) in it. God has shown us three distinct personalities in Himself that the Bible calls THE FATHER, THE SON, and THE HOLY SPIRIT.

God created man and gave us free will to either follow HIM, or reject GOD's ways and follow our own, because we think we know best what we need and how to get it. This, along with other things such as lust, greed, anger, hate and on and on, causes all people to sin. God, who is perfect in all things, cannot have any fellowship with creatures such as us (tainted by sin), but because HE loves us this is His great desire for us, to fellowship with Him forever in heaven.

This creates a dilemma that only God could solve. His solution? He set the precedent that only a perfectly pure blood sacrifice (the death of one without blemish) could atone (pay) for sin, then GOD THE SON came to live among us as the man, JESUS, born to a virgin, in the poorest of settings, with all the frailties of man, remained sinless, taught GOD's message of love and forgiveness, then was killed in a horribly painful way (nailed to a cross) to pay for all our sins. Then, after three days in the grave, He arose from the dead to prove who HE is and to demonstrate that the life eternal HE promises his followers is possible. Than HE ascended into Heaven, and is there with the Father. HE promised to return and has given us THE HOLY SPIRIT as a companion, comforter and guide while we are still in the world awaiting HIM.

This eternal life with GOD is a free gift, paid in full by GOD, only attainable through JESUS. All you need to do is talk to JESUS (pray), and tell HIM that you know you are a sinner and want to sincerely turn from sin and make HIM the LORD of your life, ask Him to come into your life to help you and guide you, ask HIM to forgive you, and HE will. The HOLY SPIRIT will then come into you, and you will be adopted into GOD's kingdom as a child of GOD, and when your time is done in this life you will awaken in GOD's presence and live with HIM in heaven. GOD told us this in the Bible which is HIS inerrant WORD (another name for JESUS).

If you agree with what I just wrote you are probably already saved. One test for yourself is, can you remember that moment you repented and received the HOLY SPIRIT, I don't mean the month and day but where you were and the feeling of JOY that came over you. If you aren't sure, may I submit it's about time you made sure.

 If you can't completely accept what I wrote, may I suggest that the rub lies with the Bible being all TRUTH. Am I right? If the Bible is true than all the other beliefs can easily be proven. More to come on this. If you have questions about the validity of the Bible that's where the scientific facts and some other proofs may prove helpful in overcoming doubts caused by the popular acceptance of many ideas as fact which actually have very little or no proof.
