Looking west from high overhead Grove City, that's  Palm Island in the foreground with Stump Pass separating it from the southern tip of Manasota Key on the right.

Of course everything else to the horizon is the GULF OF MEXICO

To the south is Gasparilla Island (named for the pirate Gaspar) connected to the mainland by causeway. Charlotte Harbor is to the left and The Gulf to the right. That's Boca Grande Pass off the far tip between Gasparilla and Caya Costa State Park (accessable only by boat ) with Captiva and Pine Island in the middle distance.
